Bill Macaitis is CMO of Slack, the platform for team communication. He has a track record of leading category-defining, high-growth technology companies into successful IPOs and exits.
Prior to joining Slack, Bill was CMO at Zendesk, where he was instrumental in the company’s IPO in 2014. He also served as SVP of Online Marketing and Operations at Salesforce, where revenues tripled under his watch.
Before working for groundbreaking SaaS companies, he led several consumer brands through successful acquisitions. Bill helped grow IGN Entertainment, which was acquired by News Corp., to 75 million unique visitors. He served as SVP of Online Marketing at Fox Interactive Media where he grew the network to over 170 million unique visitors. Finally, he co-founded an early gaming site, Case’s Ladder, which was acquired by Intermix Media.
Bill graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Business with a degree in Business Administration.
